Approaching 10243

Hussein Chalayan interpreted the Silk route in a series of his three carpet designs. He decided to combine oriental aspects of traditional carpets together with western modern culture therefore the “Approaching” carpet combines traditional frames together with a modern motif. The design in the middle of the carpet is an interpretation of a modern video game character within a traditional framework. Colours used within this carpet are kept traditional with the exception of the neon pink.
