Feltro

For over 5,000 years, people have been compressing wool fibres into felt – one of the most original fabrics ever. Virtually no other material combines elasticity, durability, dirt resistance and natural thermal insulation in a comparable way.
The wool used comes mainly from New Zealand and is processed into high-quality felt in Europe. The result is an honest, durable material with archaic power and timeless aesthetics.

Format as a design principle
The production width of 1.80 m is deliberately the starting point for our design thinking. Instead of circumventing this limitation, we make it a principle: add, connect, expand. Precisely cut felt elements are composed into large-format carpets in our factory. The individual parts can be sewn together in the traditional way or joined visibly – with buckles, hinges, clips or zips. This creates surfaces with structure, rhythm and constructive honesty. Each rug is not only a floor covering, but also a designed object. 

Materiality and spatial effect
Feltro absorbs sound, regulates temperature and feels pleasant underfoot. The textile density lends rooms a sense of calm and depth – in private living spaces as well as in architecturally sophisticated projects.

The collection
Feltro Basic, the original, archaic felt carpet in 6 mm thickness. In a dark brown natural tone, the material is presented in its purest form.
Feltro Color, 6 mm thick felt in soft, elegant colours. Subtle nuances lend rooms warmth and individuality without being overpowering.
Feltro Trend, 5 mm thick felt in a fresh, vibrant colour palette. Expressive, contemporary and ideal for bold interior design concepts.
